Always follow the syllabus
Analyzing the syllabus is the most important and first task to finish when you start your preparation. Be a beginner or a veteran whenever you prepare for any exam get a copy of the syllabus and do a thorough analysis. This thorough analysis helps you to choose relevant resources since there are too many resources available in the market. A candidate might waste their time and effort if they keep on preparing based on all the random materials available. Choose the topics which are relevant for the exam you write. The syllabus helps you to cover required topics systematically.
Analyze previous year question papers
Analyzing previous years’ question papers is a quick way to get the awareness of the exam you are going to write. Previous year’s questions help an aspirant to get a better view of the patterns and types of questions asked in the exam. Whenever you come across any video class or any study material you can easily identify the already asked questions and the potent questions from that area, if you have a clear understanding of the syllabus and previous year’s questions. You can analyze the general PSC question papers along with the question papers for teaching positions. Keep the syllabus in mind and sort the questions accordingly.
Practice mock tests
Practicing is the perfect way to analyze the range and direction of your preparation. Regular practice can help you in time management and fortify the facts you have covered already. Do not just practice the mock tests; invest time in analyzing your way of writing the exam. Makeup if you find any issues and focus on strengthening the weaker areas. Avoid repeating the same mistakes in the actual exam. By familiarizing you with the exam pattern mock tests help you to reduce your stress during the actual exam.
