The Cabinet on Wednesday Kerala government has decided to extend the validity of public service commission (PSC) rank lists by 6 months. The rank lists were set to expire between February 3 and August 2 this year and will have their validity extended till August 3rd.There was some delay in the publication of rank lists, due to the outbreak of Covid-19,also there have been changes in the PSC Exams schedules.
The government also considered the delay in recruitment to recently created posts, while deciding to extend the validity of rank lists. Opposition parties as well youth organizations have been demanding the extension of rank list validity.
Also the cabinet has decided to make 114 employees permanent who have been working on contract with C-DIT for more than 10 years. The opposition parties staged a protest march to the PSC office against the decision.
